The first step in developing the Ultimate Header was to utilize the latest engineering techniques, including the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) processes to optimize the design and materials to be used to literally create the “ultimate” flange and its signature “high-tech” appearance.

Using FEA, Ultimate Headers is able to reduce weight, while providing the required clamping forces to eliminate leakage. The use of FEA processes helped to identify the structural dynamics which impact the header system.

These are the very same processes used by motorsports engineers to evaluate the stresses in severe-duty environments such as NASCAR, Formula One, IndyCar, drag racing and endurance races like the 24 Hours of LeMans.
